They began among the ancient oaks of Devil's Glen — dappled light, cool air, the particular quiet of a Wicklow forest. Then the day opened up at Brittas Bay, where the dunes meet the Atlantic and the light turns golden and everything slows down.
It was there, as the sun dropped behind the hills, that Mathieu asked Anaelle to marry him.
